Over 21 years ago, a Danish carpenter named Keld Christensen visited the islands of Hawaii and knew he had found his true home. With only a van and tools, he set out to introduce local designers about quality European carpentry and cabinet installation through his company Copenhagen Kitchens.

With just one employee -- hand-picked and trained in Danish carpentry methods and standards -- the two have set a new standard in the local remodeling industry.

Keld, along with foreman Kevin Dolbeare, has raised the expectations of contractors and carpenters in the islands. Not only is Copenhagen Kitchens known for its quality work, but also for its efficiency and dedication to client satisfaction.

Keld was trained in Denmark and earned a technical degree in cabinet installation. Kevin was trained as a painter, and Keld has personally mentored him in cabinet installation and all areas of carpentry. Both Keld and Kevin maintain the highest standards in the industry.
